I had an appointment at Brown’s for a tire alignment on my Subaru outback. My tire tread was uneven and bald on one tire so I had purchased some used tires to put on after the alignment. During the drop off, I told Browns about the tires I had brought with me and they informed me they do not put on or install any parts brought in by customers. I told them that was fine and I would take my car to a tire shop after the alignment to get the “new” tires put on. They also tried to upsell me on a $65 diagnostics test which is completely unnecessary for an alignment. I declined the diagnostics and they informed me that it might disrupt my appointment if they needed to run diagnostics. Which again, shouldn’t be an issue since an alignment job does not need a scanner. About an hour after dropping my car off, they called me back to inform me I needed to pick up my vehicle because they would not perform the alignment due to my tires condition and that they would only do an alignment if I purchased four new tires from them. I decided to ask my tire guy who he recommended for an alignment, and he recommended Blue Castle Automotive in the south valley. They got me fixed up and out the door by the next day for $70. Less than half the price that Brown’s quoted me.

We are from out of state and were on our way home to Arizona when our jeep broke down. Browns was super fast and helpful getting us back on the road.
