They did a full diagnostic free of charge, then sent a text with link to all the details, including photos and notes. This time, they replaced my starter and changed the brake fluid. Repairs were done promptly the next day after I dropped my car off late afternoon, after being told by several other mechanics I'd have to wait many days or even weeks to fix my car. Ed is great at explaining what needs to be done and why. Price is good. They are very trustworthy. They even offer a ride if you need it. This is the 2nd or 3rd repair I've had done with them and I've been happy every time. I highly recommend Browns!

UPDATE April 12, 2021: Browns Automotive HONORS their warrantee! After they replaced my engine last summer, had a few issues crop up and they fixed them free of charge. First was a squeaking serpentine belt - replace leaking thermostat & cleaned belt. Second was a water leak - replaced water pump. Last week was failed oil pressure gage and squeaky belt again - replaced pressure sensor and tightened belt. When you replace nearly everything in the engine bay on a Jeep with 240K miles, you will expect some issues. But, at Browns they won't cost you a dime under warrantee. I also had them replace oil/fluid in front/rear gear boxes, power steering, transmission, and transfer case at a price equal to major a chain store. They recently discovered that power steering fluid was still a little brownish red. Well once again, they replaced the fluid at no charge. 24-month, 24K mile warrantee on service/parts; 36-month, 100K mile warrantee on engine replacement. Go there! July 2020: Replaced my engine on 2000 Jeep Cherokee Sport with a remanufactured engine. Original estimate $6900 to include all labor, parts (engine, radiator, hoses, spark plugs, belt) and possible extra replacement parts. Went to $7700 about half way through because my Jeep engine bay required even more parts due to it's 237,931 miles. Tim kept me informed all the way. Even sent me pics of the removal. Gave me discounts and even provided the last part & labor for free (oxygen sensor after test drive). Took about 2 weeks to complete. This is my new Jeep repair company. Labor is $20 per hour cheaper than dealership. If you want to keep your Jeep, then go to these folks for service.
