I'd taken my truck to an alignment shop for an alignment and they gave me a list of parts they said needed to be replaced. So I took my truck to Brown's Automotive for a 2nd opinion and told them I was looking for a 2nd opinion. Brown's came up with an extensive list of parts they said I needed, but not one single part matched what the alignment shop said I needed. I asked Brown's to show me how they could tell I needed the parts they listed and all they did was wiggle my tires and say 'see, there's a lot of movement, so you need those parts'. My brother is a mechanic and he told me to expect them to get out a large pair of pliers and squeeze the ball joints - if they moved/compressed, they needed to be replaced. Brown's didn't 'prove' to me anything needed to be replaced, they just advised me to take them at their word, as they have an ACE Certified Master Mechanic, who knows what needs to be done.
